Blogging For Profit: If Done Properly Blogging Can Create A Crazy Income
If you are new to Internet Marketing, you probably have heard how people use blogging as a way to generate traffic, sales, and a dream life. This article is going to examine several aspects of blogging for profits.
I have blogged for the last 3 years. Blogging, if done correctly, is a rewarding and fun way to find people with like interests. It is interesting to me that people have very strong emotions about certain subjects. Blogging takes advantage of those emotions, and if done properly, can result in substantial profits.
Here are a few dos and don'ts:
DOS:
* Do pick a relevant title of your blog. The title needs to capture the reader's attention immediately.
* Do find a subject that you are passionate about. Remember, you will be writing daily (or sometimes more) about what ever your blog is about so it imperative that you select a subject that you have some level of expertise or knowledge about.
* Do post to your blog every day. This is most difficult when you are just starting out. It may seem that the effort is futile when you don't have anyone following your blog (I will discuss some ways of getting readership in another article).
* Do research keywords that target the niche that you are using for your blog. Tools like Google Adwords Keyword Tool and Google Traffic Estimator are two very good sources to help you find highly focused targeted keywords. This is important if you are trying to get ranked in some of the searched engines.
* Do find a free blog host. Word Press and Blogger are two that I use and like.
* Do spend some time learning how to make your blog look professional. Fortunately, with all of the new technology out there, this is easy and fun.
* Do write with passion. No one likes to read a boring, dry commentary. As a matter of fact, search engines rate you blog higher if they have good content.
* Do add RSS feeds to your blog. RSS feeds bring good fresh content to your blog daily.
And now some don'ts:
DON'TS:
* Don't switch topics after you have established the main theme of your blog. As started above, to get the maximum effect of your blog, find a niche that interest you and keep all blog post keyed on that niche.
* Don't quit. That sounds a bit cliché but it is very, very important. To get your blog established you must keep blogging every day.
* Don't copy other people's work. Not only is it unethical, it also hurts your ranking with the search engines.
* Don't deviate from your business outline. As I have stated in most of my articles, it is important to treat your blogging efforts as a business.
These are just a few ideas that you need to keep in mind as you start blogging. As I stated above, I will cover some techniques of getting people to your blog in another article.
